Teach us a lesson by submitting your ideas!

Photo by Tim Dobson on FlickrIn the consultation that led to the white paper called The Learning Revolution, many people asked for better information about informal learning.  They wanted information to be pulled together online so that it’s much easier to find out about learning opportunities, events, activities and low cost spaces that can be booked for self organised activities like reading groups.  People also said that they would like fuller descriptions of activities so that they can make better choices about all kinds of learning , whether it’s in the public, voluntary, self-organised or private sector.

We need your help to decide how this information should be presented, organised and distributed online.

What we are after, in a Show us a Better Way style, is ideas. You might have a vision of an amazing design for a learning portal website, or a concept of an awesome live data feed which other sites and services could use. Or, maybe, you could help design a Facebook widget, or an iPhone app which could make finding learning opportunities a doddle.

We want to hear from you, whether you are a hacker, a designer, an organiser or an interested observer. Please note that the submission of ideas section of of the process is now closed.

Your ideas, once submitted, will be made publicly available on this site for others to comment and rate them. By December, we’ll be aiming to give grants out of a pot of £25,000 to the best projects to help develop prototypes.

You can find out more, or browse what other people have sent in. Whatever you do, don’t miss your chance of being a part of the Learning Revolution.
